Ontario is currently the only province in Canada that regulates paralegals. We are working in the same manner as lawyers in the designated scope of practice, including the Small Claims Court and the administrative tribunals, but charge significantly lower legal fees than lawyers.

Licensed Paralegals are graduates from the designated paralegal programs in Ontario. We focused on the paralegal practice scope, studied tremendous courses, and completed a required practicum in the legal workplaces to be eligible to write the paralegal licence examination. The proficiencies in our education, knowledge and practice are well-accepted by clients across Ontario.

The main purpose of regulating paralegals in Ontario is to enhance access to justice, especially to vulnerable groups in Ontario. We care more than the winning of the case but also the clients' needs.
